Since 2010, the group headed by N. Aghajari and P. Gouet has conducted research related to structural biology in infectious diseases, cancer and glycobiology. Our research activities use structural biology methods and techniques (mainly X-ray crystallography and bioinformatics) in conjunction with biochemical and molecular biology approaches, to understand the relationships between structure, function and activity of proteins falling into the above mentioned categories.
The laboratory has implemented all the major facilities for structural analyses and sample preparation. It also designs and develops tools for structural bioinformatics such as the ESPript server, available to the scientific community.
